George Wayne Russell

July 7, 1943 – November 18, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Wayne Russell, who left us peacefully on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at the age of 81, with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

George was the beloved husband of the late Linda Gail Russell (nee Lynde). He was a devoted father to Heath (Tracey) and Dawn (Jeff), and a cherished Papa to Garrett (Ashley), Nick, Eric, Melanie, Justine, and Cole. George was also a loving Great Papa to Abagail.

He was the brother of Burt, Jack (predeceased), Jim, Britt, and Marilyn. George, a retiree of GM Oshawa, will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Details of the funeral service and interment will be announced shortly. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of a man who brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him.
