On April 3, 2024, Isobel Piggott, aged 98, passed away peacefully in Cobourg, ON.

Born in Shotts, Scotland, she grew up in Port Glasgow and later settled in Toronto in 1949.

There she met her husband, Donald Piggott (married 1954). Isobel will be greatly missed by her children, David (Heather), Ron (Sandy), and Christine (Michael); and grandchildren, Shannon, Cheryl, Bryan, Ian, and Steve.

We are comforted by thoughts of her reunited with all her beloved pets. She was predeceased by her husband; parents, David and Williamina Kay (Ellis) Patterson; and siblings, William Ellis Patterson and "Sheena" Jessie Fairley Dingwall.

Isobel volunteered for the Ajax Pickering Hospital Auxiliary for 40 years, for which she received an Ontario Service Award. She and Don were longtime members of the Ajax Creative Arts Club. Service is April 25th at 1 p.m., at Accettone Funeral Home in Ajax, followed by interment.

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Ingrid Alice Hepner at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday February 28, 2024, at the age of 51.

Dearly beloved wife of Robert.

Loving mother of Heidi and Maximilian. Survived by her siblings Karl Wunderlich (Lucy) and Elizabeth Anderson (Paul).

Will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Dietrich and April Wunderlich.

Ingrid will be remembered as a wonderful, caring wife, mother and friend. She took an interest in everyone; and was an avid knitter, reader, cook and baker.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street West on Friday March 15th, 2024 at 1:30 pm with visitation beginning at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow at Oshawa Union Cemetery.

Ian will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Ian was a life-member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Past President of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #238 Fenelon Falls, avid soccer fan and Blackpool and Manchester United fan.

Many thanks to caregivers and support services during this difficult time.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fenelon Falls at a later date.

Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa on February 29, 2024, Ila Robertson (nee Martin), at the age of 92.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald, son Randy (Rosie), and grandson Reece.

Lovingly missed by her son David (Colleen), daughter Diane (Malcolm), and grandchildren Erin (Greg), Ryan (Laura), and Ronnie (Kaitlin).

She leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Brendan, Joel, Tori, Bodhi, Leni, Lucas, and Braedan.

Ila was born in New Richmond, Quebec on July 22, 1931. She moved to Ontario and accepted a position at Whitby Psychiatric Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide.

She left that position to start her family. She later rejoined the workforce being employed by Sears at the Oshawa Centre until she retired.

She was a devoted member of the UCW Joy Unit at Kingsview United Church, where she made lifelong friends.

One of the activities that brought her great joy was volunteering in the gift shop at Hillsdale Long Term Care with her two friends, Jean Dart and Helen Rotterman.

They spent many Saturdays selling goods and serving up ice cream to the residents.

Ila’s greatest loves were her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.

There will be a tribute and celebration of life for Ila on Saturday. March 16 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Survived by two nephews, Stephen and Andrew (Karen) Meyer, grandnieces, Kristen (Chris), Elin (Ray), Victoria and grandnephew, Hank III(Megan) and great-grandnephews, Oliver and Brody and great-grand nieces, Evelyn and Rosaleigh.

Irene was born in Sudbury and spent her early years there until moving to Brampton where she was a resident for many years.

She worked as a Title Searcher for law offices in Brampton for most of her professional life, but also worked for CN Rail.

As per Irene’s wish, there will be no service.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Isabell Elaine Jobson, affectionately known as Miss Tiny.

Isabell peacefully departed this life on February 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86.

Isabell was a cherished mother to Dadra (Jeff), Annakay (Julian), Deborah, and Nadia.

She was a proud grandmother to Jamila, Mo, Amanda, Jerome, Tamar and Ammar, and a great-grandmother to Asia, Elias, Romell, and Shiyah. She was also a loving sister to Perlene, Hyacinth, Nathan, and Brickley.

Preceded by her parents, Geraldine and Harold Jobson, sisters Minnie, Vena, Alvis, and brother Leibert.

Isabell leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever remain in our hearts. Isabell was the epitome of selflessness and the glue that held our family together.

Her unconditional love and care knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth and kindness. Her gentle guidance and unwavering support were like a beacon of light in our lives, guiding us through both joyful and challenging times. Isabell was passionate about sewing, and she poured her heart into creating beautiful outfits for her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Her talent and creativity brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to receive her handmade gifts. As we grapple with the reality of never seeing her comforting smile again, we find solace in knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will live on in each of us.

Though her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the lessons she imparted. We invite you to join us in celebration of a life so beautifully lived, as we bid farewell to our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, knowing that she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
